June 29, 2011 -- Anresco Laboratories is very pleased to announce that today, we received our ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation for certain chemistry, microbiology, microscopy and medical devices testing (certificate document, scope document).

March 21, 2011 -- FDA will hold a meeting on March 29 in order to address the implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act. Anresco Inc. will be attending this meeting and we would like to invite our clients and partners to the event as well.

May 26, 2009 -- Discussion draft of Food Safety
Enhancement Act of 2009 is released. This draft is largely
based on portions of H.R. 759, the "FDA Globalization Act of
2009 introduced in January.

April 9, 2009 -- Three FDA Draft Guidances and
three pieces of proposed food safety legislation are currently
pending. Anyone can file Comments with the applicable FDA
Docket on the pending Guidances or contact the applicable

3 proposed pieces of legislation:
1. Senate Bill S.510- Durbin - D-Ill; “FDA Food Safety
Modernization Act”
This would require registration of
food plants and importers, would require that food plants
develop HACCP Plans, allow FDA to assess penalties where
importers cause problems that require FDA staff time, would
establish a “Voluntary Qualified Importer Program,” etc.
2. House
Bill HR 875 - DeLauro- D-Conn; “Food Safety Modernization Act”
This would reorganize the regulation
of foods into an Agency separated from the regulation of drugs
and cosmetics (the Food and Drug Administration as it exists
would be no more).
3. House Bill HR 759 - Dingell- D-Mi; “FDA Globalization Act of
2009”
This would require a $10,000 annual registration
fee from all food importers.
September 14th,
2008 -- In China, milk powder tainted with melamine has caused
widespread illness to tens of thousands of
Chinese infants and in some cases, even death. This sparked concern in the U.S. for
imported products that may use Chinese dairy ingredients.

June 14th, 2007 -- Anresco offers testing for diethlyene glycol, most recently of concern in a recall of toothpaste products
