April 1st, 2005 -- We regret to inform you that effective March 31st, 2005, Mr. Jim Bell has resigned as President and Laboratory Director of Anresco Labs.  We all wish him well in his future endeavors.

 

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Curtis Edwards as Laboratory Director, effective April 6th, 2005.  Mr. Edwards was formerly Laboratory Director of the FDA Southeast Regional Laboratory in Atlanta before his retirement last year.  Mr. Edwards brings a wealth of experience to Anresco both as an analytical chemist and as an effective laboratory manager and we excited to have him on board.

 

In the interim, please direct any questions to Mr. David Eisenberg at x11 or Mr. Dai Deh at x21.  Anresco remains grateful for the business relationships that we have with our customers and we hope that these will continue in time. We remain committed to excellence and will do what we can to justify the confidence you have placed in us.

Please download the latest version of our price schedule from the Download section today.  To continue providing the level of service that you have come to expect, we will be increasing our prices by an average of 5% effective March 1, 2005.  This represents our first increase in over 2 years and we have made a strong commitment to control costs and provide the most efficient service possible.

November 10th, 2004 -- We are pleased to announce that Anresco Laboratories in Ft. Lauderdale is the first lab in Florida to be certified by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to perform the analysis of mixed feed and ingredients.  Anresco has been approved for the analysis of mixed feeds and ingredients for nutrients, pesticide residues, mycotoxins and microorganisms.  For more information, please contact Jim Bell, Laboratory Director or Jane Parks, Florida Lab Manager.

 

November 5th, 2004 -- Anresco Laboratories is pleased to have sent 2 representatives to the Sensory Evaluation Workshop in Bell, CA from Nov. 3-4.  The workshop was held at the NMFS Western Inspection Office and was organized by the National Fisheries Institute, the California Sea Grant Program, the National Marine Fisheries Service and the FDA. Anresco now has 5 certified analysts for seafood decomposition sensory evaluations in San Francisco and Los Angeles.  In 2005, we will be sending two chemists from our Florida regional laboratory to the Shrimp School at the University of Florida.

 

November 2nd, 2004 -- Anresco Labs exhibited at the International West Coast Seafood Show at the Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, CA this past week from October 31 to November 2.  Exhibition traffic and interest in our booth remained high throughout the 3 days that we were there.  Anresco Labs will now be going on its 9th year of participation in the West Coast Seafood Show and look forward to seeing you at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2005.

August 17th, 2004 -- Anresco is pleased to offer a Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.) section for our customers.  A link to our FAQ can be found on the menu bar under Contact Us and it features commonly asked questions about Anresco Labs, including sample submission, turnaround time, reporting and testing.  We hope to build on the list of questions over time by listening to our customers and the questions that they have.

 

August 30th, 2004 -- Today Anresco Labs celebrated the 91st birthday of our founder and chairman, Dr. Sylvan Eisenberg.  Dr. Eisenberg is a PhD Chemist from Stanford University, whose endless energy, bright ideas and quick wit continue to be an inspiration for all of us at Anresco.  We wish you a happy birthday and hope to celebrate many more with you! 

 

     

 

August 16th, 2004 -- At 4:29 in the morning, our senior GC chemist Vu Lam and his wife Tracy Lam gave birth to their second child, a boy named Anthony.  We are proud to welcome Anthony Lam into the Anresco family.  He was 8 pounds, 7 ounces and 21 inches in length.  Both mother and son are doing well.  Congratulations!

July 13-16, 2004 Anresco Laboratories enjoyed a very successful 4 days at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Food Expo in Las Vegas.  Booth traffic was excellent and remained steady throughout the show.  Anresco Labs is proud to be a member of IFT and looks forward to lending our full support to IFT well into the future. 

 

The booth was attended by Jim Bell, President & Laboratory Director and Dai-Bin Deh, Director of Marketing, who both enjoyed meeting you and answering your questions.  In addition to meeting many potential clients, there was also the opportunity to touch base with old colleagues and business acquaintances.

     We are pleased to announce that Mr. Jim Bell has taken over as President and Laboratory Director of Anresco Labs. Jim brings with him a cheerful countenance and many years of business experience, most recently with Eurofins Scientific (Woodson-Tenant Division), SGS and Barrow-Agee Laboratories. We welcome Jim wholeheartedly into the Anresco family and are filled with enthusiasm and excitement as we look towards 2004.

     We would also like to wish Jerry Oliveras and his family the best of luck in his new endeavors. Jerry has been with Anresco Labs for 15+ years and his contributions as President and Laboratory Director have been invaluable. We are sure that he will continue to find success in whatever he chooses to pursue. Thank you for everything and you will surely be missed!
